ABOUT THE FIRETOWER PROJECT

The Firetower Project is an initiative by Appalachian State cross country alumni, aiming to restore the program to national prominence. Established as a nonprofit through the Appalachian Foundation, it seeks to provide financial support over the next five years to elevate the team’s performance. The project draws strength from the shared experience and training of alumni over 25 years. Despite recent challenges, including the end of the indoor men’s track program, the goal is to achieve victories at the conference level, advance through Regionals, and eventually reach the NCAA Championships. By leveraging the program’s history and alumni support, The Firetower Project aims to revitalize and honor the legacy of Appalachian State cross country.
